Graphic designer and illustrator
Salma Youssef was born in Cairo but grew up in suburban Canada. Despite being so far from Egypt, she could never let go of her roots, from participating in every opportunity to share Egyptian culture with her Canadian peers, to becoming the president of the Arab Students’ Association at McGill University and ultimately moving back to Egypt.
While majoring in biochemistry, Salma spent her free time learning and growing as a self-taught digital artist. After graduating and opting out of a career in the lab, she decided to blend her art skills with her degree in biochemistry and is currently on a journey of scientific communication to educate people through visual methods - a perfect marriage of her two passions.
