Omar Houssien
Artist
Omar Houssien is an Egyptian artist with a background in design, illustration and visual communication. He returned to Cairo after completing his studies in Milan, Italy to work with art spaces and cultural initiatives, development programs and various advertising campaigns. He took part in an artist residency which culminated in an exhibition at Bijzondere Collecties in Amsterdam. His works have been exhibited in Cairo, Amsterdam, Milan and Belgrade. Omar dedicated his creative and artistic output to produce work that is relevant and contributive to contemporary discourses and efforts for socio-political change.
