Sarah Khairy studied architecture and urban design at the American University in Cairo where she currently teaches as well besides being a lighting design engineer. Because of her love for the city and urban photography, she started her photography project @DoorsofCairo. She wants to capture a thousand doors in an attempt to make people appreciate and acknowledge the hidden beauty and history of their city. Doors of Cairo illustrations are another way she hopes to use to get people to connect with the city.
