Yomna Nafea was born in Ismailia, Egypt in 1992. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and a minor in film from the American University in Cairo in 2016. Conceptual art, which is based on visual research, has been her primary interest. Her artwork illustrates the passion for anatomy drawing and the absurd modern world. She uses drawing and mono-printing as mediums to translate reflection of her subconscious.
Her greatest passion lies in the detailed process of using visual research to create artworks that the viewers can relate to from their perspectives and raise their feelings accordingly. Contributing value to her audience by presenting artwork is a great motivation for her to acquire further skills and to continue working on delivering on a sensational, artistic and intellectual level.
